Project Overview
Implemented MaintainX CMMS across two advanced manufacturing and applied research centres at Sheridan College Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies and Conestoga College SMART Centre to centralize asset management, standardize maintenance workflows and improve equipment uptime across high utilization lab environments.
The Challenge
Both centres operated a large and diverse portfolio of advanced manufacturing equipment with limited visibility into asset condition, maintenance history and service prioritization. Maintenance activities were largely reactive, inconsistently documented and difficult to scale as lab usage and research activity increased.
Approach
Led the end-to-end CMMS rollout starting with asset audits and standardization followed by configuration of preventive maintenance schedules, work order workflows and priority frameworks. Established consistent data practices, trained staff and researchers on system adoption and introduced reporting dashboards to enable ongoing operational insight.
