Project Overview
Built a scalable training and SOP system at the SMART Centre to support safe, consistent operation of advanced lab equipment by a high-turnover student population.
The Challenge
Each semester, 30–50 students with varying technical backgrounds needed to be trained on complex machinery. Manual training was time-intensive, inconsistent, and limited lab throughput. A standardized approach was required to reduce onboarding time, maintain safety, and support increased equipment usage without adding supervision overhead.
Approach
Implemented a standardized training framework combining machine-specific SOPs with self-guided learning using AR-assisted walkthroughs and interactive 3D tours.

Reduced reliance on one-to-one training and staff supervision
